Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case management by organizing and maintaining legal files using document management systems such as Mycase.
- Manage client communication efficiently through professional phone etiquette and written correspondence; handle confidential information with integrity.
- Perform data entry, document review, and filing tasks accurately while maintaining organized case files for quick retrieval.
- Provide administrative assistance such as scheduling appointments, coordinating interviews, transcribing notes, and supporting project management initiatives within the legal team.
Skills
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with familiarity in various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, civil litigation support, and procedural law.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms; ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with experience using document management systems like iManage.
- Effective writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Familiarity with legal case management software such as PCLaw; experience with document review and litigation support tools preferred.
- Exceptional client communication skills combined with professionalism in handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Ability to perform detailed legal research on topics including UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal regulations, patent law procedures, or immigration statutes as needed.
- Strong clerical skills including filing, data entry, transcription, and maintaining organized records; excellent phone etiquette and administrative support capabilities.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
