About Us
We're opening a brand-new Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop at Fashion Island in Newport Beach and are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a store from the ground up, hire and develop an amazing team, and create an outstanding guest experience. We're looking for a leader who is passionate about people, operations, and making a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, coach, and develop team members
- Lead daily store operations and ensure excellent customer service
- Create employee schedules and manage labor costs
- Maintain inventory and place product orders
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Monitor store cleanliness and maintenance
- Manage cash handling and daily financial reporting
- Coach Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers
- Resolve customer concerns professionally
- Meet sales, labor, and profitability goals
- Support local marketing, catering, and community events
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
QualificationsRequired
- At least 3 years of management experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Newport Beach
Preferred
- General Manager experience
- Experience opening a new business or restaurant
- Experience with inventory, scheduling, and budgeting
- P&L management experience
