The Respiratory Therapy Consultant will oversee all respiratory therapy services, including the management of staff, equipment, inventory and resources. They will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of respiratory care for patients. The Consultant will also be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the respiratory staff. The Consultant will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the Respiratory Consultant will also develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance.
The Consultant will perform In-service to the facility employees including Nurses and Techs twice monthly per location and will also be available on-call to provide guidance in the event of patients being placed on a ventilator or other respiratory issues.
