Provide safety and companionship to a young autistic boy. Your role will be to engage with the child through meaningful, developmentally appropriate activities, while supporting his individual needs and routines.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 530 pm-9 pm
Sundays - up to 30 hours per month
Tasks:
- Possess a calm demeanor, energetic, patient, and positive
- Picking up Child from Daycare during the week
- Companionship
- Activities with child
- Enjoys going to the park, play in backyard, walks, toy cars, stuffed animals, coloring.
- Redirect behaviors when needed
- Assist with cleaning up after toileting and changing pull ups
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, enthusiastic, engaging
- Excellent work ethic, including being punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- First Aid & CPR required
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance
- Experience working with autistic children.
