What We’re Looking For
- A passion for working with children and a genuine respect for their individuality
- Willingness to learn and embrace the Montessori way of teaching
- At least 6 months of experience working with children in a group setting (preferred, but not required)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and reliability
- Ability to follow directions and support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a peaceful, engaging classroom
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to speak, read, and write English
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Your Role & Responsibilities
As an Assistant Montessori Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Lead Teacher and creating an environment where children feel safe, respected, and inspired to learn. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Lead Teacher with classroom activities and preparing materials.
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
- Observing and guiding children respectfully, promoting independence and positive behavior.
- Supporting individual and group activities in line with Montessori principles.
- Communicating with the Lead Teacher and following classroom routines.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding children and families.
- Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Work Schedule
Our school is open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Assistant Teachers work a 9-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch break. Schedules may vary based on classroom needs, so flexibility is important.
