Position Summary
Starling is looking for a Host / Support Team Member to join our front of house team. This hybrid role combines the guest-facing responsibilities of a Host with the behind-the-scenes support that keeps service running smoothly, including bussing and resetting tables, running food, and assisting our servers and bartenders. You'll be the first and last impression for our guests, and a key part of making sure every table gets fast, professional, and friendly service from start to finish.
Monday availability is required for this position.
What You'll Do

- Greet guests in a positive, friendly, and upbeat manner and seat them as quickly and efficiently as business allows.
- Answer the phone within three rings in a friendly, professional manner and assist with takeout orders.
- Run food and drinks to the correct table and seat, ensuring accuracy and a professional presentation.
- Help clear, bus, and reset tables promptly to keep tables turning and the dining room clean.
- Assist servers and bartenders with sidework, stocking, and cleaning tasks as needed.
- Communicate proactively with the team to keep service moving and guests taken care of.
- Keep bathrooms, host stand, and workstations stocked and clean throughout the shift.
- Gather feedback from guests and thank them warmly as they leave.
- Keep management informed of any guest concerns or issues that come up during the shift.
- Assist in other roles and tasks as needed; we're an all hands in, all hands out team.
What We're Looking For
- Monday availability is required.
- One year of restaurant or guest service experience preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work every scheduled shift.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment for shifts up to 8 hours.
- Able to lift and carry bus pans and trays weighing up to 30 pounds multiple times per shift.
- Clear communication skills and a genuine, guest-first attitude.
- Open to picking up additional shifts at other Jester Concepts locations when available.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $11.41–$16.00 per hour
