POSITION: Director of Transportation
CAMPUS: Districtwide
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for maintenance of Central Tech vehicle and equipment fleet. Supervision of Student Transportation equipment and personnel. Operation of vehicle reservation system. Budgeting and fiscal management for all areas of responsibility.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Superintendent
SKILLS REQUIRED: Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline powered equipment, fleet maintenance, and vehicle systems. Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under deadlines. Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in fleet management systems and standard office software.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years’ mechanic experience. Supervisory experience helpful.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma, GED, or HiSet. Post-secondary education in Auto or Diesel Mechanics preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to project and maintain a positive and professional image through participation in staff meetings, in-service education, and selected professional growth meetings, trainings, and activities. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: June 10, 2026
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month contract – Non-Certified/Exempt
