Registered Echo Technologist
Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Pay Rate: $2,500 To 2,720/Week
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day shift
Experience: 1 2 years preferred
About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Echo Technologist to perform a variety of non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. The technologist will provide high-quality patient care while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with the cardiovascular team.
Responsibilities
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (2D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Spectral Doppler).
Assist with Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
Perform EKGs, stress testing, event monitor applications, cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, and lower extremity Doppler studies.
Document procedure results accurately in Cerner EMR and promptly report critical findings.
Prepare, clean, and maintain cardiovascular equipment.
Assist with patient transport, supply management, and departmental workflow.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and departmental meetings.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient safety, and infection control standards.
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Echocardiography, Vascular Technology, or Allied Health.
Current ARDMS (RVT) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential (or registry eligible).
Current BLS certification.
Experience performing 2D Echo, M-Mode, Color Flow Doppler, Spectral Doppler, Stress Echo, and TEE preferred.
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
Ability to successfully complete rhythm recognition competency.
