Position Overview
We are looking for a Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented attorney with excellent writing, analytical, and advocacy skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners.
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 2–5 years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with California state court procedures; federal court experience is a plus.
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deposition experience.
- Motion practice and courtroom experience.
- Trial preparation experience.
- Familiarity with legal case management software and e-filing systems.
Pay: $108,554.30 - $130,732.06 per year
