We are looking for a reliable Dispatch Representative to act as a communication point for customers and carriers in car shipping and automobile transport. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track orders for shipping cars, boats, and other vehicles.
The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency hauling situations. You must also have a proven track record in car shipping as a dispatch representative or a relevant position in vehicle transport companies, preferably for a minimum of one year.
Ownership of a car is essential for this role, and knowledge of the auto shipping process is a must. You will need to have a knack for dealing with delivery queries, multi-task, and take the appropriate action with little supervision. Effectively acting as the car transport liaison, bridging the gap between customers and carriers. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of shipping information.
Responsibilities:

Receive/Make calls to customers, car companies, and carriers to record significant shipping information

Address ship and delivery-related problems and requests by transmitting information or providing car shipping solutions

Receive and dispatch carriers for key car shipping orders, and vehicle transport orders, including boat transport and haulage.

Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance, specifically of car shipping matters

Use Phone calls, emails, and instant messaging to communicate with all parties involved in order to dispatch a car transport order successfully

Monitor routes that our shipping companies take and build a carrier network to coordinate and prioritize orders for auto shipping that need dispatching

Provide carriers with information about orders, including special instructions, dimensions of vehicles, potential obstacles, locations for both pick up and delivery, hours, and further car or boat transport details.

Enter car transport data in the computer system, maintaining live logs of car shipping order statuses with our LLC
Requirements:

Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position in car transport or with shipping companies (minimum of one year preferred)

Tech Savvy with knowledge of relevant car shipping methods

Create and maintain a Carrier Network for vehicle transport

Keep a live log of car shipping orders, noting when orders are picked up and delivered

Mediate communications uniquely between customers & carriers in the car shipping business

Attention to detail in car shipping activities

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy car transport environment

Receiving calls from customers & carriers, addressing problems and requests related to car transport and shipping needs

Monitor routes and carrier availabilities to coordinate customer’s car shipping orders

Enter data about the vehicle transport into computer systems and maintain logs and records of carriers, driver’s info, car pick up dates, car delivery dates, etc.
