Job Summary:
This position will be an on-campus position or via UTMB satellite clinics.
Job Duties:

Position requirements will vary based on location, time of year:

Facilitate sessions of community engagement and clinical education programs including hospital-based programs for first- and fourth-year medical students

Evaluate reported social determinants of health for inpatient clients and provide appropriate resources.
- Participating in the development of educational training materials for community engagement and clinical education activities
-
Use EPIC EMR to check-in patients, extract data from clinical charts, and direct patient contact.

Collect and analyze data for quality improvement purposes.

Produce and present scholarly papers related to departmental efforts.

Supervise first year medical students in clinical settings.
-
Assist with pre- clinic huddles to ensure appropriate patient care and interprofessional communication.

Support curriculum development for educational initiatives.

Serve on project planning committees for ongoing community engagement projects and initiatives.

Development of department promotional materials including website updates and maintenance
-
Support grant writing to obtain departmental funding.

Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, general clerical duties that may include scanning, emails, phone calls, making copies, and proofreading materials.

Assist in project planning.

Utilize project planning software.

Act as liaison between students and staff.

Manage recruitment for various community engagement activities.

Assist with maintaining the Sched volunteer management system.

Assist with set-up and preparation for ongoing community engagement activities.
