Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Intern to join our dynamic design team. Duties
- Assist in creating and refining architectural drawings, construction documents, and detailed construction detail documentation using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ArchiCAD
- Support project teams with 3D modeling and rendering tasks utilizing Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize design concepts effectively
- Contribute to building code analysis, building information modeling (BIM), and ensuring project compliance with construction accessibility regulations and local building codes
- Participate in project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating activities to support project management efforts
- Aid in preparing presentation materials including renderings, graphic designs, and construction accessibility documentation for client meetings and regulatory submissions
- Collaborate on sustainable design initiatives by integrating environmentally responsible strategies into architectural solutions
- Assist with construction management tasks such as reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with contractors, and supporting renovation or interior design projects
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an accredited architecture or related program with a strong foundation in architectural design principles
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD; experience with 3ds Max or Rhino 3D is highly desirable
- Familiarity with BIM tools like NavisWorks for project coordination and clash detection
- Knowledge of construction regulations, building code compliance, and construction accessibility standards
- Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentation development
- Strong skills in 3D modeling for architectural design and rendering techniques to communicate ideas effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Business development experience or interest is a plus; willingness to learn about contracts and negotiation processes related to architectural projects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
