Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys handling complex civil litigation cases across various practice areas in both state and federal court. Your proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and thorough understanding of legal procedures will help ensure smooth case management and successful outcomes. Duties:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, document review, and trial support
- Manage and organize case files using our document management system ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Review and analyze evidence, depositions, and discovery materials to identify pertinent information for case development
- Coordinate with clients through interviewing and follow-up to gather necessary information and maintain strong communication channels
- Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, scheduling court deadlines, and maintaining compliance with procedural rules
- Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Order, organize, and summarize medical records
- File legal documents in various state counties, federal court, and appellate courts in Pennsylvania
Experience
- Proven legal assistant experience in civil litigation or related legal fields such as personal injury law, family law, or landlord-tenant law
- Familiarity with a broad range of practice areas including estate planning, personal injury, workers' compensation law, bad faith, insurance coverage disputes, and more
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as FileVine and/or Neos and document management systems like SharePoint or similar platforms
- Excellent writing communication skills for drafting legal documents with clarity and professionalism
- Experience in communicating with clients, court personnel, medical providers, and defense counsel
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures including filing procedures, document review protocols, proofreading standards, transcription accuracy, and contract review

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
