The Camp Hill School District is seeking candidates for available contracted positions to support its Fall 2026 High School Musical, Hadestown: Teen Edition.
Vocal Director (Stipend: $2,200.00)
Position Summary: The Vocal Director is responsible for teaching, rehearsing, and maintaining all vocal music for the Camp Hill High School musical. This role focuses on vocal technique, musical accuracy, ensemble singing, and supporting students’ musical confidence.
Reports To: All duties are performed under the supervision of, and report directly to, The Pollock Center Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities:

Teach all vocal music, harmonies, and lyrics to student performers

Lead music rehearsals and support combined rehearsals with staging and choreography

Promote healthy vocal technique appropriate for high school voices

Collaborate with the Director to align musical interpretation with storytelling

Coordinate with the Choreographer to ensure vocal and movement elements are compatible

Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and feedback
-
Attend sitzprobe, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances as required

Maintain musical standards consistent with Pollock Center expectations

Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Pollock Center Executive Director or show Director.
Qualifications:

Experience teaching vocal music to children or adolescents
-
Strong piano and music-reading skills preferred
-
Ability to communicate clearly with students of varying musical experience

Collaborative mindset and flexibility within a team environment
Set Builder (Stipend: $1,000.00)
Position Summary: The Set Builder constructs the physical set, backdrop, and structures for the production by reading blueprints, using carpentry tools, and collaborating with the technical director and production team to bring their vision to life.
Reports To: All duties are performed under the supervision of, and report directly to, The Pollock Center Technical Director and Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities:

Build the scenery, walls, platforms, and large props using materials that are available

Follow technical drawings and scale models provided by the set designer

Collaborate with production designers, art directors, and other team members to ensure sets are functional and aesthetically pleasing

Ensure sets are completed on schedule and within budget
-
Set up pieces on stage and ensure items shift smoothly during live shows
-
Use power tools safely, keep the workspace clean, and follow theater safety rules
-
Attend production meetings as needed

Create a plan for construction within the parameters of the provided schedule and in conjunction with the Technical Director
-
Communicate to the Technical Director what materials and equipment are required to construct the set
-
Coordinate with Technical Director, volunteers, and Pollock Center faculty when help is required for building
-
Fix broken set pieces quickly and adapt designs to fit physical stage limits
-
Plans and assists in executing set strike upon completion of the production Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Pollock Center Executive Director or Technical Director
Qualifications:

Carpentry knowledge

Strong skill in using hand and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns)

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for long hours

Experience in set design and construction for live events

5+ years of experience building
-
Ability to operate and maintain set-building equipment and machinery

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
