We are looking for a highly experienced Hotshot Driver who can handle the entire operation — not just drive the truck.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable hotshot trucking experience
- Must have an excellent driving record and be dependable
- Must know how to properly load, position, secure, chain, bind, and strap all types of freight and equipment
- Must be able to operate and load/unload machinery and equipment, including skid steers, excavators, lifts, tractors, and similar equipment
- Must have strong mechanical knowledge and be capable of diagnosing and handling basic truck and trailer maintenance/issues on the road
- Must understand truck, trailer, tire, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
- Must know how to dispatch, communicate with brokers, negotiate/coordinate loads, and manage pickup and delivery information
- Must understand DOT regulations, ELD/HOS requirements, weight limits, and safe load securement
- Must have excellent communication skills with brokers, customers, dispatchers, and management
- Must take care of the truck and trailer as if it were their own
- Must be able to work independently, solve problems, and make good decisions on the road
- No inexperienced drivers — this position requires someone who already knows the hotshot business
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We want someone who is professional, mechanically inclined, reliable, motivated, and experienced enough to run the operation without being micromanaged.
Competitive percentage-based pay for the right driver.
