The Lincoln-Sudbury Civic Orchestra is looking for an experienced trumpet player to assume a significant role in performing the great classic orchestral literature. This year we will be performing Mussorgsky's Pictures at and Exhibition - a shining work in which the trumpet plays a prominent part. Transposing in a variety of traditional classical trumpet keys will be beneficial, but not required. The LSCO meets on Tuesday evenings at LSRHS in Sudbury, MA.
Perform the trumpet with confidence and clarity over the full range of the instrument. Have played in concert band or orchestra for enough years to be confident to perform the classic literature with 12 weeks of rehearsal.
Those interested in assuming this role can contact the Managing Director, William Nicholson at
[email protected]. Please include a statement expressing your interest and include a relevant vitae, which outlines your experience and education. Thank you for your interest.

The Lincoln-Sudbury Civic Orchestra (LSCO) is an ensemble of talented amateur and semi-professional musicians, who love to prepare and perform classic orchestral literature.
Drawn from Sudbury, Lincoln, Wayland, Maynard, Framingham, Lexington, Hudson and many other surrounding towns, its members include skilled volunteers and semi-pro players. Under the baton of Alfonso Piacentini, of the BPO, the orchestra has become a vibrant part of the Metro-West music landscape.
Hosted by the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, the LSCO performs two or three concerts annually in the beautiful LSRHS auditorium. Concert selections have included symphonies, concerti, overtures and suites by the giants of the genre: Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak, Schubert, Sibelius, Rossini, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Elgar, Verdi, Copeland, Smetana, and many other greats.
