Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our oral surgery dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, patient care, and dental procedures. As a Dental Assistant, you will be ensuring a smooth, efficient office operation. Your expertise in infection control and dental technology will contribute to providing exceptional patient experiences and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures in oral surgery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take panoramic X-rays using advanced imaging equipment and ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and assisting with medical history updates and vital signs measurement.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Adhere to infection control standards by practicing proper sterilization techniques and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
- Keeping up with supplies and ordering.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office environment is required, ideally with exposure to oral surgery, but we are willing to train.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures is mandatory for ensuring patient safety.
- Familiarity with dental imaging technology including X-ray machines .
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
