American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care IR experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Located in the Vascular Radiology department on the 1st floor of the main hospital building
-
Unit consists of a 5-bay holding room, a 3-room IR suite, and a 3-room CT suite
-
Staffed by 5 RNs and 5 Radiologic Technologists
-
Day shift hours are 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with an on-call requirement through the night; night shift is call-only

Patient ratio is 1:1 during procedures; 3–4 patients in the holding room depending on acuity

Procedures performed include kyphoplasty, Y-90, peripheral interventions, stroke and trauma cases, diagnostic cerebral cases, drain placements, biopsies, thrombolysis, and neuro coiling cases

Documentation uses Maclab and paper charting

EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred

13-week contract

Active KS or Compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care IR RN hospital experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities is preferred

Ideal candidates are flexible, able to work across different radiology modalities throughout the day, and prioritize patient care

Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
