Skills
- Proven experience in diverse healthcare settings including hospital medicine, critical care (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), emergency medicine, or long-term care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT).
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology.
- Skilled in performing complex procedures including suturing, catheterization (urinary or vascular), phlebotomy, tube feeding management, ostomy care, and sterile processing.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with expertise in triage, acute pain management, trauma medicine (including Level I & II trauma centers), and emergency room protocols.
- Experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia/dementia care), behavioral health patients or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment discussions and interdisciplinary team collaboration; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential.
