Overview
Join our team as a Lead Custodian and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our Crawford County Courthouse Facilities. This position offers the opportunity to ensure that all spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting for staff, visitors, and clients alike. As a Lead Custodian, you will be responsible for executing a variety of cleaning and tasks that uphold our standard of cleanliness and safety, overseeing other Custodians and tracking inventory . Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive atmosphere and operational excellence.
Duties
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to ensure pristine conditions.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain durable and attractive surfaces.
- Handle janitorial tasks with efficiency, including replenishing supplies and ensuring all cleaning equipment is properly maintained.
- Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning of large or high-traffic areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, offices, hallways, kitchens, and other designated spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with facilities maintenance teams to report issues or hazards promptly for swift resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures including buffing and waxing, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching comfortably.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
