At Melt Ice Creams, this hybrid role supports both our Events Team and our Delivery & Warehouse Team. You’ll represent MELT at weddings, corporate events, and festivals — and you’ll ensure our Scoop Shops and wholesale partners receive scratch-made ice cream frozen solid and delivered with precision. This is a high-trust, physical, fast-paced position that combines hospitality, route driving, inventory handling, and brand representation.

Service Area: Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex
Reports To: Events & Logistics Manager
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Schedule: Mix of morning weekday hours for Shop deliveries and evenings/weekends for events
Time Split: Approximately 50% delivery/logistics and 50% events (based on business needs)
Compensation: $16–20/hour average total compensation (base or base + tip share, based job preformed)
Every week, you will:

Create memorable event experiences across DFW
- Represent MELT professionally at weddings, corporate events, and festivals
- Deliver accurate, complete, and on-time product to Scoop Shops and wholesale partners
- Protect frozen product integrity from Commissary Kitchen to final Scoop Shop freezer
- Maintain high operational and food safety standards
You are both the face of Melt in the community and the final quality checkpoint before product reaches our Scoop Shops.
Execute Events with Excellence

Follow detailed event sheets and pack product accurately
- Transport carts, product, and equipment to event locations
- Set up and break down Happy Carts, booths, and food truck operations
- Scoop and serve ice cream efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Follow event timelines and service agreements precisely
- Maintain strict product temperature control and food safety compliance
Represent the MELT Brand

Engage guests with warmth, energy, and professionalism
- Communicate clearly with hosts, planners, and venue contacts
- Answer questions about flavors and our scratch-made process
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing service areas
Execute Reliable Deliveries

Pick, pull, and verify scoop shop and wholesale orders
- Verify flavors, quantities, packaging, and labeling before departure
- Load, unload, and transport frozen product safely
- Deliver to MELT Scoop Shops and wholesale clients across DFW
- Obtain delivery confirmations and complete required documentation
- Follow daily and weekly operational checklists
Maintain Product Integrity

Monitor product temperatures during transport
- Follow FIFO and proper product rotation procedures
- Ensure product is handled according to MELT food safety standards
- Report discrepancies immediately
Support Warehouse & Equipment Operations

Receive and account for incoming inventory
- Restock dry goods, packaging, and raw ingredients to par levels
- Assist with weekly and monthly inventory counts
- Operate powered pallet jack after safety training
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse and freezer spaces
Operate with Safety & Ownership

Safely operate company vehicles (non-CDL)
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- Lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs repeatedly; This is a physically demanding role requiring stamina, strength, and attention to detail.
- Stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying Texas weather
- Communicate clearly with the Events & Logistics Manager regarding schedules, delays, or issues

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be 18+ years old
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, twist, and reach throughout shift
- Comfortable working in freezer environments and outdoor conditions
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Delivery driver or route driving experience
- Catering or event experience
- Warehouse or inventory management experience
- Experience handling perishable or temperature-sensitive goods
- Experience driving larger vehicles or food trucks
- Experience in detail-oriented work environments (any industry)
- Background in crafts or hobbies requiring precision and accuracy
- Customer service experience showing attention to quality
- Experience working under time constraints while maintaining standards
- Previous Shift Lead or Key Holder positions that show reliability and leadership skills
- Competitive hourly compensation: $16–20/hour average total compensation (base or base + tip share, based job preformed)
