Job Summary:
The Lead Electrician will oversee a team of 5–10 electricians, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical installations and repairs on marine transport vessels. This role is responsible for coordinating projects, assigning tasks, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes, company safety policies, and customer specifications. The position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage schedules and priorities, and hands-on technical expertise.

What you'll do:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities for a team of 5–10 electricians.
- Plan, assign, and monitor electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work on marine transport vessels.
- Ensure all work meets electrical codes, company safety policies, and customer requirements.
- Conduct hazard analyses and ensure crews take appropriate steps to mitigate risks.
- Provide hands-on assistance with complex electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Review technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, vessel crews, and other departments to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Mentor and train electricians to improve technical skills and safety awareness.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to certify that work is completed to specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed, inspections, and crew assignments.
What you'll need:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and marine electrical systems.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in multiple locations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Willingness to work in varying conditions, including confined spaces and outdoors.
- Ability to travel between worksites.
