The Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil/Site with strong public sector experience to support and lead the design of civil/site and utility infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on water and wastewater system design. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can independently prepare plans, lead junior staff, and coordinate with project managers, clients, and agency stakeholders. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, comfortable working on complex site/utility projects, and capable of producing complete construction documents with minimal oversight. MicroStation experience is a plus, and a PE is preferred.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)

7+ years of progressive experience in civil/site and utility infrastructure design

Significant experience delivering public sector projects, including water and wastewater system design

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff
-
Ability to prepare plans and construction documents independently with minimal oversight
-
Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards, permitting, and plan production workflows

Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with project stakeholders

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)

MicroStation experience is a plus
-
Experience with municipal clients, counties, water authorities, and/or state agencies
-
Familiarity with Georgia standards and agency review processes (GDOT, local municipalities, etc.)

Experience with construction administration support and responding to RFIs/submittals
