Responsibilities
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness upon arrival, making them feel valued from the moment they walk in
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
- Escort guests to their tables promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant amenities
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service delivery
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Monitor dining area occupancy and cleanliness to uphold high standards of guest comfort and restaurant appearance
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns politely and efficiently, ensuring a positive dining experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed
- Experience in hospitality, hotel guest services, serving, or related customer service roles is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and positive energy
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest relations practices
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster welcoming interactions
