Dental Assistant – Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic Office
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental and orthodontic team. This is a full-time position (5 days per week) in a fun, fast-paced, and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the doctor during pediatric dental and orthodontic procedures
- Manage instrument processing and maintain a clean, organized sterilization area
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms efficiently between patients
- Take dental X-rays, if licensed in Maryland as a Dental Radiation Technologist
- Support other areas of the practice as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a positive team environment
Candidates MUST have:
- Valid Maryland Dental Radiation Technologist license required; candidates currently enrolled in a Maryland state-accredited dental X-ray certification program will be considered, provided licensure can be obtained within a specified timeframe.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including keyboard use, web navigation, and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with children and parents.
Candidate Pluses:
- Fluent in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients.
- Experienced in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Certified in Expanded Functions for General Dentistry and/or Orthodontics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
