Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage wiring installations in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions while adhering to electrical safety procedures.
- Work on construction sites, renovation projects, or maintenance tasks involving high-voltage systems, low-voltage controls, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes; document all inspections, repairs, and installations thoroughly.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment through rigorous adherence to electrical safety procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, schematics, and electrical blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Safety Code) compliance requirements and local electrical codes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment for electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams such as schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures related to electrical work; ability to follow detailed instructions for high-voltage electrical wiring projects.
