Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning:
- Check-out is at 11 AM, and check-in begins at 3 PM, make sure the rooms cleaned and ready within that time frame.
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Replace linens, towels, and amenities according to motel standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Public Area Maintenance:
- Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Ensure all areas are tidy, presentable, and free from debris.
- Laundry Duties:
- Collect, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels.
- Maintain laundry equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Supply Management:
- Replenish cleaning supplies and amenities in guest rooms and storage areas.
- Inform the supervisor of any low stock or required inventory.
- Guest Interaction:
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and courteously.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work cooperatively with other housekeeping staff and motel personnel.
- Attend regular team meetings and training sessions.
- Adherence to Standards:
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the motel's cleanliness and operational standards.
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred (at least 1 to 3 years)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy items.
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
NOTE:
The job role/position has a probationary rate for 3 months and a salary raise can be determined after the said probationary period.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
