Overview
We are looking for a Construction Crew Leader, you will be overseeing daily operations on-site, managing teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an opportunity to lead construction activities across commercial and residential projects, utilizing your expertise in construction management and team supervision. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure timely project progression
- Coordinate construction schedules using tools like Construction management software to optimize workflow and resource allocation
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately
- Oversee safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on site
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure materials and services meet project specifications and deadlines
- Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring adherence to construction regulations and project standards
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and assist with cost management efforts to keep projects financially on track
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction site management, including supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents
- Knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and project scheduling best practices
- Familiarity with managing contracts, procurement processes, and managing project documentation
- Demonstrated understanding of OSHA standards and federal safety regulations for construction sites
- Excellent managerial communication skills for effective team leadership and stakeholder coordination
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and use of measurement tools like ohmmeters for electrical work when needed
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency
