We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team and help support our continued growth.
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position manages the month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location environment. Experience working with a private equity-backed organization is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll
- Fixed Assets
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including:
- Balance Sheet
- Income Statement
- Statement of Cash Flows
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls.
- Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and short-term cash forecasting.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide recommendations to management.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Support lender, investor, and private equity reporting requirements as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal efficiencies.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Three or more years of experience in a senior accounting or accounting management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience managing the month-end close process.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience working in a private equity-backed company.
- Multi-location accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.
- Experience with Bill.com, Concur, Power BI, or Insight Software reporting tools.
- Experience in the event rental, distribution, construction, or equipment rental industries.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
