Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and interpreting mechanical blueprints will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with industrial equipment, and a commitment to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment according to specifications and blueprints.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Operate various industrial equipment including press brake machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, and forklift trucks to facilitate manufacturing processes.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC machinery and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication, assembly, or machining tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments by following proper procedures and utilizing appropriate safety gear.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse or fabrication areas, including materials handling and packaging finished products.
- Use hand tools and tooling equipment effectively during setup or repair tasks.
- Support quality control initiatives by inspecting parts for defects and ensuring adherence to specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC control systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code or M-code; experience with CAM programming software is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement instruments like micrometers and calipers.
- Understanding of GD&T principles for accurate part inspection.
- Experience working with tooling setups on press brake machines, stamping presses, or flexo presses is advantageous.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and perform basic repairs or adjustments.
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable in manufacturing environments including proper use of hand tools and industrial equipment.
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience involving assembly line work, materials handling, fabrication processes, or packaging is beneficial.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and process adjustments.
This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals eager to contribute their technical skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment. We welcome applicants committed to precision craftsmanship, safety excellence, and continuous improvement.
