Position Summary: The Medical SME will provide physician-level medical consultation supporting the Job Corps Health and Wellness Program. The Medical SME will review clinical cases, evaluate medical records, provide healthcare policy guidance, support disease outbreak response, participate in center assessments, and provide technical assistance related to adolescent health and wellness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide medical consultation.
- Support disease outbreak response.
- Participate in Regional Office Center Assessments.
- Review healthcare guidelines.
- Evaluate medical equipment requests.
- Review student death cases.
- Support policy development.
- Provide technical assistance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Physician (M.D. or D.O.).
- Minimum 5 years providing medical care to adolescents and young adults.
- Experience reviewing medical records.
- Experience evaluating healthcare delivery systems.
- Experience with quality and compliance assessments.
- Knowledge of adolescent medicine.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Crisis intervention experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Public Health (MPH).
- Public Health experience.
- Federal healthcare programs.
