Cashier / Server / Front of House Team Member

Viva Mexicana is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Cashier / Server / Front of House Team Member to join our family-owned restaurant. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has exceptional multitasking skills.
Because we are a small restaurant, every team member contributes to the overall guest experience. This is not simply a cashier position. Once trained, you'll have the opportunity to run the front of the restaurant, coordinate service, support your teammates, and ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests with a warm, genuine attitude.
- Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately.
- Operate the POS system and process payments.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Serve food and beverages while providing exceptional customer service.
- Bus tables and maintain a clean, organized dining room.
- Wash dishes and assist with kitchen support during slower periods.
- Restock supplies and keep workstations clean and organized.
- Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities.
- Jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy meal periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Previous restaurant, cashier, food service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

You'll be comfortable switching from greeting customers, to taking orders, to bussing tables, washing dishes during slower times, and helping wherever needed.
