Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels using advanced inventory management systems, including ERP and AS400 platforms, ensuring accuracy and availability of parts for automotive service and repair.
- Perform detailed data entry related to parts administration, order processing, procurement management, and logistics inventory management to support demand planning and supply chain efficiency.
- Source parts from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers and negotiate pricing to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including parts sourcing, order management system updates, and shipping documentation to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive parts administration records, including inventory control logs, internal communication documentation, and procurement records.
- Support warehouse management tasks such as parts storage organization, forklift operation (certification preferred), and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams on vehicle systems diagnostics, auto body repair parts coordination, and customer service inquiries related to automotive parts and accessories.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong supplier management experience with a focus on negotiation and sourcing strategies for automotive parts.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts sourcing, and auto body repair components.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management practices including inventory control systems like ERP or AS400 platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of logistics inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, procurement processes, and demand planning.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive parts and accessories is highly desirable to understand product specifications and customer needs.
- Certification in forklift operation is preferred; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate across departments such as sales, service technicians, procurement teams, and logistics staff.
