We are seeking an experienced Lead Home Health Aide (Lead HHA) to provide exceptional client care while serving as a mentor and resource for our caregiving team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable caregiver looking to grow into a leadership role with a rapidly expanding home care agency.
Position Summary
The Lead Home Health Aide provides direct personal care services while assisting with caregiver support, new employee mentoring, client satisfaction, and field operations. This individual will lead by example, maintain the highest standards of care, and help ensure quality service for every client.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and mobility assistance.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with medication reminders.
- Observe and report changes in client condition.
- Mentor and support newly hired caregivers.
- Help orient and train new team members in the field.
- Assist with client introductions and welcome visits.
- Help cover open shifts when available.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff.
- Represent the company with professionalism and compassion at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving experience.
- HHA, STNA, CNA, PCA, or equivalent caregiving experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, organized, and compassionate.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
Travel Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to one (1) hour from your home to provide client care, mentor caregivers, complete client visits, and support staffing needs throughout our service area.
Schedule
- Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
