We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Cathodic Protection Engineering team in the Houston region. This role is responsible for managing the technical organization, including resource planning, engineering quality, employee development, technical support, and collaboration with business development and operations teams.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of corrosion engineers.
Provide technical guidance on engineering principles, cathodic protection design, material selection, survey methods, and analytical reporting.
Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate engineering staff.
Promote a collaborative work environment and resolve employee-related matters.
Coordinate engineering resources to support operations and customer requirements.
Assist in engineering budget planning and resource forecasting.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Serve as a technical resource for customers, addressing complex engineering issues.
Plan, organize, and assign engineering resources and subcontractors to projects.
Review engineering surveys, designs, proposals, and project deliverables.
Visit project sites to provide technical oversight and ensure successful project execution.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
AMPP Cathodic Protection (CP) Certification.
Minimum of 8 years of cathodic protection engineering experience.
At least 3 years of supervisory or people management experience preferred.
Experience collaborating with operations and business development teams.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications.
Ability to quickly learn new software and engineering tools.
