Position Overview
You will manage a team of Warranty Administrators and oversee all warranty claim operations. Your dealership background will help ensure:
- Claims are submitted correctly the first time
- OEM rules are followed
- Schedules reconcile cleanly
- The team stays aligned with evolving OEM requirements
This role is perfect for someone who has lived the dealership warranty world and wants to use that expertise to lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Warranty Administrators to maximize accuracy and productivity.
- Ensure OEM-compliant claim submission, documentation, and follow-up.
- Review repair orders for proper Concern, Cause, Correction and required documentation.
- Assist team members with OEM policy questions, bulletins, recalls, and claim coding.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of factory programs, recalls, bulletins, and warranty updates.
- Reconcile warranty schedules and ensure proper payment posting and adjustments.
- Identify claim trends, prevent chargebacks, and strengthen compliance.
- Set team goals and workflow strategies aligned with company priorities.
- Collaborate with Service Department leadership to streamline processes and reduce claim errors.
Qualifications
- 5+ years managing a team of 5 or more (Required)
- Dealership warranty administration experience strongly preferred
- 1+ year warranty claims experience (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of OEM warranty policies, documentation requirements, and claim submission processes
- Working knowledge of dealership Service Department operations
- Strong math and reconciliation skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- General accounting knowledge (Preferred)
- Strong computer proficiency (DMS experience a plus)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
