JOB OVERVIEW
The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of common areas throughout the property. This role supports the housekeeping team and helps ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing common areas, hallways, stairwells, and restrooms.
Supplies Management
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Trash Disposal
- Collect and dispose of trash from common areas and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed.
Guest Assistance
- Provide assistance to guests by answering questions and directing them as needed.
Safety Compliance
- Follow safety and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to support efficient operations.
Miscellaneous
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SNHD Health Card.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Requires standing, using stairs, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the shift for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in small spaces.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying room conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
