Private GYN practice that offers office based surgical procedures is seeking a part time Registered Nurse.
Salary is competitive. Spanish speaking is a plus.
PART TIME:
Wednesday-start time approximately 9am until end of session which is approximately 5 hours
Friday-start time approximately 9am until end of session which is approximately 5 hours
Saturday- start time approximately 9am until end of session which is approximately 5 hours
The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give excellent nursing care. She will be able to follow health and safety guidelines consistently.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess her needs
- Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
- Provide immediate medical care in emergencies
- Supervise Medical Assistants
- Crash cart inventory
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Skills
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- Thorough knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Knowledge of emergency care protocol
- Full knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) which must be followed at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- BS or other diploma from a nursing program
- Current nursing license

Pay: $42.00 - $55.00 per hour
