We are located in Greater Hartford, CT. This job is an on-site position. Although we do allow some work-from-home flexibility, this is NOT a remote position.
Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; overseeing the general ledger; and reconciling accounts. The role will monitor cash flow, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial analysis to guide leadership decisions. The Financial Controller will manage accounting policies and procedures, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners. This position also involves improving financial processes, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations and overall financial health.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls in a corporate environment.
- Advanced skills with accounting and financial software, as well as strong Excel or similar spreadsheet capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
