Opulent Wealth Director of Practice Operations
Opulent Wealth is a financial practice affiliated with Northwestern Mutual, a Fortune 100 company known for helping clients achieve long-term financial security. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Director of Practice Operations who will be instrumental in both delivering exceptional client experiences and ensuring operational excellence.
You’ll work directly with Founder and Lead Advisor, Elijah Jenkins, to support all aspects of the financial planning process — from preparing and maintaining client plans to managing back-office operations and client communications. Looking for a growth-oriented candidate who is comfortable building with the practice.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This role executes on client onboarding, ensuring seamless integration and communication for effective plan implementation. Responsible for managing case notes and tasks, ensuring precise assignment and tracking. Prepare fee-based planning proposals, oversee new policy application preparation, and account opening and funding.
This role is the operational backbone of the practice. Owns outcomes, not tasks and practice. Creates additional capacity for the advisor to concentrate on revenue-producing opportunities.
PROSPECTING & PIPELINE
· Prepare and maintain lead and referral lists
· Enter referrals into Dynamics 365 with call dates
· Secondary outreach to help schedule prospect meetings
· Confirm meetings and send pre-meeting prep materials
· Post-meeting follow-up with homework and deadlines
· Check in before next meetings to ensure completion
· Every pipeline opportunity has a logged next touch point
CLIENT SERVICES
· Primary owner of all post-meeting tasks and
· Follow-through
· Client-facing communications — phone, email, written
· Correspondence
· Gather demographic info, keep client records current
· Segmented touchpoints — thank-you letters, check-ins
· Prepare client folders and materials prior to every meeting
CASE PREPARATION & TEAM COORDINATION
· Build case illustrations using Northwestern Mutual internal systems
· Create recommendation pages from templated materials
· Review all materials prior to meetings for accuracy
· Complete intake forms and account-opening documentation
· Coordinate with NM Financial Planning Team on financial plan intake and on case submissions
· Own and feed the CRM task queue for all team members
CALENDAR & EMAIL
· Own the advisor's calendar
· Manage email inbox with structured triage system
· Plan each business day in advance
OPERATIONS & PRACTICE MANAGEMENT
· Lead weekly case prep and team alignment meetings
· Track firm goals — FF, QS, premium submitted, referrals
· Coordinate with NM home office to keep cases moving
· Own marketing logistics — seminars, speaking engagements
· Identify inefficiencies and bring solutions to leadership

HARD SKILLS
· Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (or comparable platform)
· Microsoft Office Suite

· Multi-priority deadline management
· Financial services background a plus — not required
COMPENSATION
· Base: $55,000 – $60,000 depending on experience
· Quarterly bonus tied to practice production metrics
· Annual milestone bonus tied to new client submissions
· At-plan total compensation meaningfully above base

This includes identifying client’s financial objectives, laying down a clear and concise game plan to accomplish them and help them implement the appropriate strategies.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
