AY Media Group is an award-winning journalistic company that covers the entire state of Arkansas. We publish three major titles: AY Magazine, Arkansas Money and Politics, and the Arkansas Mental Health Guide. We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Advertising Assistant to join our team at our main office in Little Rock.
Position Overview
We are looking for an organized, reliable, and client-focused individual to support our advertising team. This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Little Rock headquarters. You will interact directly with clients, manage daily administrative tasks, and contribute to the success of our publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide professional client service
- Communicate effectively with current and potential advertising clients
- Maintain organized records, schedules, and advertising files
- Assist with ad placement coordination, invoicing, and campaign tracking
- Run occasional errands (e.g., deliveries, post office, office supply pickups)
- Support the advertising team with administrative tasks and special projects
- Help coordinate advertising content across AY Magazine, Arkansas Money and Politics, and the Arkansas Mental Health Guide
Qualifications
- Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience answering phones and speaking directly with clients
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for occasional errands)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools
A big plus if you have:
- Understanding of or interest in AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, automation tools)
- Experience in advertising, marketing, media sales, or publishing
- Familiarity with social media platforms or basic graphic design
- Knowledge of or interest in Arkansas politics, finance, business, or mental health communities
