Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests to recommend drinks based on their preferences and promote specialty beverages or promotions.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and ensure all beverages are stored properly following food safety standards.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cash handling with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that align with current trends and guest preferences.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service events like banquets or catering functions to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending within fine dining or hospitality settings; strong knowledge of mixology techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beer, beverage recipe development, and cocktail presentation.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Experience in food handling, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards within the food industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
