Licensed Mental Health Professional – Vita Therapy Collective
Vita Therapy Collective is a new group mental health practice in State College, PA, founded by Kathryn Pohland, LMFT, and Erica Wiley, PhD. We are creating a practice centered on providing thoughtful, evidence-based care across the lifespan while supporting clinicians in doing meaningful and sustainable work.
Our approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and responsive to each client’s individual needs. We value strong therapeutic relationships alongside the use of effective, evidence-based approaches to help clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change.
The Opportunity
We are seeking licensed mental health professionals, including:
- LMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- LSW – Licensed Social Worker
- LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor
We welcome strong generalist clinicians who are comfortable working with adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns and life challenges. The ability to provide thoughtful, high-quality adult therapy will be an important part of this role.
As we expand our ability to provide care across the lifespan, specialty training or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents, older adults, or couples and families would be an added strength—but it is not required. We are equally interested in clinicians with other specialties and in skilled generalists who enjoy working with a broad range of adult clients.
Clinicians at Vita will have the autonomy to practice within their areas of interest and expertise while benefiting from consultation, professional support, and connection with a collaborative team. We are looking for clinicians who share our commitment to compassionate, ethical, and high-quality care.

Our Philosophy
At Vita Therapy Collective, we understand that people’s mental health needs change throughout their lives. Children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older adults each bring different experiences, challenges, and strengths to therapy. Our goal is to develop a range of services that allows individuals and families to find thoughtful, skilled care at different stages of life.
We believe effective therapy combines a strong therapeutic relationship with clinical knowledge, evidence-based interventions, and genuine responsiveness to the person seeking care. We also believe clinicians do their best work when they feel supported, respected, valued, and fairly compensated.
