Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Technician/Caregiver where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various settings. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support clinical teams to ensure the highest quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. Whether working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or community-based environments, you’ll be an essential part of a team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. We are in need of candidates for our 3-11 pm and 7pm - 7 am shifts.
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support ongoing patient assessment
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a safe environment by practicing aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient interactions and procedures
- Document patient care activities thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs in memory or behavioral health units
- Assist clinical staff in complex procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, or post-operative support in medical-surgical units or ICU settings
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home & community care programs to deliver seamless patient service
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral health conditions in settings like assisted living or nursing homes
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support safe patient handling and care planning in acute or sub-acute environments
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and infectious disease protocols
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and other relevant certifications required for patient safety and emergency response readiness
- Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on patience, empathy, and effective communication tailored for diverse populations including children and seniors
- CMT certification preferred.
