Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples following strict aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures
- Perform laboratory tests accurately using various techniques and equipment, ensuring quality control standards are met
- Handle specimen collection including venipuncture (blood sampling), phlebotomy, and specimen handling with precision and care
- Maintain detailed records of test results, data entry into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and ensure data accuracy
- Assist with patient care activities such as taking vital signs and providing patient service with professionalism and compassion
- Follow safety protocols including basic life support (BLS) and CPR to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Support hospital operations by managing specimen storage, transportation, and documentation while adhering to all compliance standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide timely reports for clinical decision-making
Experience
- Proven medical laboratory work experience or clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and medical terminology
- Hands-on experience with specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
