Sr. Territory Sales Representative
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (Based on Experience)

Merge Associates is partnering with a well-established construction materials producer to identify a Sr. Territory Sales Representative for a direct-hire opportunity. Our client is a respected leader in the aggregates, asphalt, and construction materials industry, supplying products for commercial, industrial, residential, and public infrastructure projects.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced sales professional who has a proven track record of developing business, managing key accounts, and building long-term customer relationships within the construction materials industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with contractors, municipalities, engineering firms, developers, and internal operations teams to drive sales growth throughout an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share within an assigned territory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, government agencies, engineering firms, developers, and other key customers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer accounts
- Prepare quotations and assist with estimating and bid opportunities
- Review construction plans, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate proposals
- Collaborate with operations, production, estimating, project management, and quality control teams to ensure customer expectations are met
- Forecast short- and long-term sales volumes and provide recommendations for production planning and budgeting
- Analyze market conditions, customer needs, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities
- Visit customer locations and project sites regularly to support sales efforts and strengthen relationships
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
- Promote a strong culture of safety and comply with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 5 years of territory sales, account management, or business development experience
- Demonstrated success developing and growing customer relationships within an assigned sales territory
- Experience in one or more of the following industries is strongly preferred:
- Aggregates
- Asphalt
- Construction Materials
- Mining
- Heavy Civil Construction
- Manufacturing
- Experience with construction estimating, bidding processes, and project-based sales is highly preferred
- Understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and production planning
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Regular travel throughout the assigned sales territory
- Occasional overnight travel as business needs require
- Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when visiting job sites
