ABOUT THE ROLE
Being Health is seeking a full-time, on-site, Medical Assistant at our location in the Financial District. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multi-disciplinary setting and will work across teams to provide medical support across all service lines. The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, mission-driven, and enthusiastic about working in an integrated, multidisciplinary environment.

This position will report directly to the Director of Clinical Operations and will work closely with medical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Function as a Medical Assistant in our model of care working across service lines to support our clinical teams
- Assist and support interventional psychiatry services, including Spravato, and other service lines as directed by clinical leadership
- Prepare patients for interventional treatments by checking them in, taking vital signs, and providing instructions; respond to patient needs both in person and digitally as directed
- Support clinical staff with patient monitoring, room setup and turnover, and administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient inquiries, disability paperwork, referrals, and clinic organization
- Assist the clinical operations team with housekeeping, facilities readiness, and management of medical and office supplies and equipment
- Assist with clinical tasks including ordering labs, gathering and reporting results, ordering pharmacogenomic testing, and following up on results
- Update records with ongoing patient information, including periodic vital signs, interval history, collateral history, and medical records from outside providers
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal clinical outcomes
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field
- Medical Assistant certification
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the healthcare field
- Experience working with patients experiencing mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage compassionately and professionally with patients
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record keeping
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic setting
- Ability to work independently as a contractor with minimal supervision
- Must satisfy pre-engagement requirements, including a background check, proof of required immunizations, and TB/PPD screening
- Able to stand for long periods, able to lift 25-50 pounds

We consider an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final compensation. The expected hourly wage for this position is $22-$26 per hour and the exact offer will be commensurate with qualifications and years of experience.
