Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, utilizing specialized techniques for safety and engagement.
- Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assist with heavy lifting tasks safely to prevent injury.
- Maintain detailed care plans and document all caregiving activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Perform light cleaning duties within the client’s living environment to uphold hygiene standards and promote a safe space.
- Engage clients in social activities or recreational programs to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in developing personalized care strategies for residents in assisted living or long-term care facilities.
Experience
- Prior experience working in home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia-related conditions.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and medication administration procedures is essential.
- Experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, and implementing care plans is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
- Hands-on experience using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident transfer techniques is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills developed through working with diverse populations including seniors or individuals with disabilities are important for success in this role.
