The Sr. Technical Sales Engineer – Stage Machinery and Live Entertainmentposition is a full-time position reporting directly to the Head of U.S. Sales. This role is responsible for expanding Serapid’s footprint in the live entertainment and theatre market by building strong industry relationships, identifying new project opportunities, and guiding clients toward engineered solutions based on Serapid’s rigid‑chain technology. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with a passion for the entertainment industry and a proven ability to drive sales growth.

Main Responsibilities (in Stage Machinery and Live Entertainment Market)
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including strategic customer accounts and key decision makers.
- Serve as the primary customer-facing technical sales resource for assigned customer accounts and opportunities.
- Support long-term customer retention and account growth.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and repeat business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Support customer acquisition activities and strategic pursuits.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support business development initiatives.
- Evaluate customer requirements and application needs.
- Facilitate technical discussions between customers and internal resources.
- Assist customers in understanding the capabilities and limitations of proposed solutions.
- Coordinate development of project scope descriptions, assumptions, and exclusions.
- Support pricing strategy and contract negotiations.
- Maintain opportunity forecasts and sales activity records within CRM (HubSpot.)
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, automation, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience within the Stage Machinery and Live Entertainment market.
- Experience managing customer relationships, including strategic customer accounts and complex sales opportunities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and engineered solutions.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Supporting business development initiatives and strategic customer pursuits.

- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

- Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with industrial automation equipment, machine design, motion control, lifting systems, power transmission equipment, and manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Proficiency with HubSpot CRM, forecasting, and opportunity management.
- Knowledge of mechanical power transmission, motion control, lifting systems, or engineered equipment.
Travel:
- Travel to customer sites, trade shows, industry events, and SERAPID facilities may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None. May provide mentorship, guidance, and training to other TSE’s.
