Overview
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Business Development & Alumni Coordinator to join our growing team. This position combines community outreach, business development, referral relationship management, and alumni engagement to support the continued growth and success of our programs.
The Business Development & Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources and community partners while also helping build and maintain a supportive, connected community for current and former clients. This role serves as an important connection between our treatment programs, referral partners, clients, families, and alumni.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is organized, personable, proactive, and passionate about behavioral health, recovery, and helping individuals and families navigate the treatment process.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Community Outreach
- Evaluate demand for services and monitor the services and offerings of competitors within the market.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing referral sources, healthcare providers, treatment centers, hospitals, therapists, community organizations, and other professional partners.
- Conduct regular face-to-face visits with local treatment centers, detox facilities, hospitals, providers, and community organizations to increase awareness of Time Wellness services.
- Represent Time Wellness at community events, networking opportunities, conferences, professional meetings, and other industry events.
- Conduct presentations and educational outreach to referral partners and community organizations as needed.
- Continuously evaluate marketing and outreach strategies based on organizational objectives, community needs, and market characteristics; make adjustments as necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, community resources, and new business development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with prospective clients and families, actively listen to their needs, and provide appropriate information regarding available services.
- Serve as a supportive resource to families and referral sources during times of crisis and assist with connecting individuals to appropriate levels of care.
- Work collaboratively with the admissions department to support the referral and admissions process and ensure effective communication between referral sources, families, and the treatment team.
Alumni Coordination & Engagement
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain an active alumni program that supports continued connection and engagement following discharge.
- Build meaningful relationships with former clients and create opportunities for alumni to remain connected to the Time Wellness community.
- Coordinate alumni activities, events, gatherings, celebrations, and other opportunities that promote connection, fellowship, and continued engagement.
- Maintain regular communication with alumni through approved communication channels, including alumni groups, outreach, newsletters, social media, and other engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate and maintain alumni communication groups and ensure they remain active, supportive, and appropriately moderated.
- Track alumni engagement and maintain accurate alumni records, including discharge information, contact information, outreach, participation, and follow-up activities.
- Establish and maintain a structured alumni follow-up process, including scheduled outreach following discharge.
- Encourage alumni participation in community events, facility activities, recovery-focused events, and other appropriate opportunities to remain connected.
- Gather alumni feedback regarding their experience and identify opportunities to strengthen the alumni program and overall client experience.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, admissions, operations, and business development teams to ensure continuity and consistency in alumni engagement.
- Support alumni who may need assistance reconnecting with treatment resources or identifying appropriate community resources when concerns or needs arise.
Communication & Team Collaboration
- Maintain timely and professional communication with referral sources, families, alumni, clients, and internal team members.
- Work collaboratively with the Time Wellness team to support organizational goals and provide a positive experience for clients, families, referral partners, and alumni.
- Support company initiatives, provide actionable feedback, share best practices, and serve as an advocate and knowledgeable resource for Time Wellness programs and services.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries, confidentiality, and professionalism when communicating with current and former clients.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate events, outreach activities, and ongoing communication.
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with clients, families, alumni, referral sources, and staff.
- Computer literate with experience working in a Windows environment.
- Knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use treatment preferred.
- Understanding of addiction and recovery preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Willingness to attend community events, networking opportunities, and professional conferences as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business development, alumni, and community engagement needs.

This is a relationship-driven position for someone who enjoys being out in the community while also staying connected to the people we serve. You will build professional partnerships, help families navigate treatment, represent Time Wellness within the community, and create meaningful opportunities for former clients to stay connected long after completing treatment.
Your work will help strengthen both our referral network and our Time Wellness alumni community, creating lasting relationships that extend beyond treatment!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
